Through the European Commission's #InCA (Intercultural Approach) Program, I get to chat with insightful people who share their remarkable intercultural knowledge & expertise.
One would hate to be selfish, so let me share what I get to hear with YOU through our latest episode:
I have the privilege of working with the European Commission's InCA (Intercultural Approach program) Team, and they've got some amazing things to share on their new Capacity4dev platform: insights on a wide range of topics spanning the whole globe. Definitely worth a look!
Got to ride a bamboo raft down an elephant inhabited river in Chiang Mai! I was able to present at the Int’l School Counselor Association Conference, Chiang Mai Int’l School, and Cornerstone Counseling. I’m so thankful to everyone who made my return to Thailand so memorable!!!
Favorite quote of the conference so far comes from @chrisosh in his presentation on resiliency and storytelling: “every interaction either gives or takes life”

What a marvelously insightful thought, on the London Underground, from @HSBC bank! I get to talk about home & belonging with people all over the world, and I am still amazed at the variety of responses, descriptions, and feelings “home” evokes. Where do you feel at home?
It’s been a long time since I lived in Turkey, but it was a privilege to get to go back recently… There’s so much to see, and I definitely missed the food!
I don’t expect there to be a comfy couch onstage when I present, but it’s a nice addition! Join @jerryjonesTCB and I as our podcast comes out of winter hibernation to discuss EXPECTATIONS! See https://t.co/9pMQNiB0GD for more information.
I chat with the insightful & lively Dr. Lina Almarestani (Chair of Psych. Dept. at the American Univ. in Dubai) on the latest episode of the European Commission's Intercultural Approach podcast, "Cup of Tea"... Grab a hot beverage and have a little listen!

Great to welcome @chrisosh to talk about ‘building resilience in third culture kids’. Useful tips and tools to take away! @RISabudhabi #weareraha#beyondraha
@KHalavatauEDU@RunEducator @RISabudhabi You're lucky Twitter limits my answer, I could talk about this for a while! I think changing the mindset of others is anchored in relationship. We have to "win the right to be heard" to be influential. Genuineness, empathy, and trust are the soil change can take root in.
@RunEducator @RISabudhabi @KHalavatauEDU Good question! I honestly think (and have seen research to back it up) that we thrive with the RIGHT amount of adversity. Too little can be as dangerous as too much. Turning struggles into skills & balance the right amount of adversity is something we hope to empower TCKs to do!
