God Made an Eternal Covenant with Israel
God’s promise to Abraham wasn’t symbolic or temporary. It was eternal and specific.

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” — Genesis 12:3

This is reaffirmed repeatedly in Scripture (Genesis 15, 17, Psalm 105:8–11). The land and the people of Israel are tied to God’s covenant purposes forever.

Israel Was Scattered Just as God Said Would Happen
Because of disobedience, God said Israel would be exiled across the earth.

“The Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other.” — Deuteronomy 28:64

This happened historically, first under Assyria and Babylon, and then in 70 AD when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem. The Jewish people were scattered globally.

But God Also Promised to Bring Them Back
Here’s where it gets prophetic and amazing. God said He would regather them from all nations.

“I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.” — Ezekiel 36:24
“He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.” — Isaiah 11:12

This regathering began in the 1800s and exploded after 1948, the exact kind of return the Bible describes. No other ancient nation has ever come back after 2,000 years. That alone should get our attention.

Modern-Day Israel = Biblical Israel Reborn
Some argue that modern Israel isn’t the same as ancient Israel. But the people, language, land, and faith all point to continuity. The people are descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They speak Hebrew again just as prophesied (Zephaniah 3:9).
They live in the same land given in Scripture.
They were reborn as one nation (Ezekiel 37:21–22).

Jesus Will Return to Israel—Specifically Jerusalem
Jesus is not coming back to Rome, Washington, or Beijing. He’s returning to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem according to prophecy.

“On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem…” — Zechariah 14:4
“This same Jesus... will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.” (from the Mount of Olives) — Acts 1:11–12

Revelation 14:1 even pictures Jesus standing on Mount Zion with His people. Jerusalem is the focal point of the Second Coming and the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Christians Are Grafted Into Israel—Not Replacing It
Paul explains this clearly.
“Did God reject His people? By no means!” — Romans 11:1
“You do not support the root, but the root supports you.” — Romans 11:18

The Church has not replaced Israel. Gentile believers are grafted into God's covenant plan, not as a replacement, but as a fulfillment alongside Israel.

Supporting Israel = Honoring God's Word
You don’t have to agree with every policy of the Israeli government to recognize that God’s hand is on Israel, and that blessing Israel is part of blessing God’s unfolding plan.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure.” — Psalm 122:6

Supporting Israel is not about politics, it’s about aligning with God’s eternal promises and recognizing the centerpiece of His redemptive plan.
