Anduril Founder @PalmerLuckey on the Decline of U.S. Manufacturing:
“I’m gonna sound like a conspiracy theorist… it wasn’t an accident or a failure, it was a decision by the elites.”
“The elites decided that they were going to reform the United States in the image of what they wanted.”
“They wanted us to move ‘higher on the value chain’… get away from the making and into the design, and become a service economy.”
“If you rely on your strongest geopolitical adversary for all the things that make the American way of life possible… how are you ever going to negotiate with them?”
“Reindustrialization is about recognizing your own destiny doesn’t have a value that can be measured in dollars.” 🇺🇸
Thank you @joerogan and @alexbruesewitz for your continued push for common-sense reform. With 40 states and millions of Americans utilizing medical cannabis, the time is now to reschedule and open the door to American-led research! 🇺🇸🌱
Mike Rowe: “Weve been telling kids for 15 years to learn to code.”
“Well, AI is coming for the coders.”
“It’s not coming for the welders, the plumbers, the steamfitters, the pipefitters, the HVAC, or the electricians.”
“In Aspen, I sat and listened to Larry Fink say we need 500,000 electricians in the next couple of years—not hyperbole.”
“The BlueForge Alliance, who oversees our maritime industrial base—that’s 15,000 individual companies who are collectively charged with building and delivering nuclear-powered subs to the Navy … calls and says, we’re having a hell of a time finding tradespeople. Can you help?”
“I said, I don’t know, man … how many do you need? He says, 140,000.”
“These are our submarines. Things go hypersonic, a little sideways with China, Taiwan, our aircraft carriers are no longer the point of the spear. They’re vulnerable.”
“Our submarines matter, and these guys have a pinch point because they can’t find welders and electricians to get them built.”
“The automotive industry needs 80,000 collision repair and technicians.”
“Energy, I don’t even know what the number is, I hear 300,000, I hear 500,000.”
“There is a clear and present freakout going on right now. I’ve heard from six governors in the last six months. I’ve heard from the heads of major companies.”

If President Trump fulfills his campaign promise to reschedule cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III-something President Biden pledged but failed to deliver—he will earn widespread praise and support from millions across party lines. It's a straightforward issue
Elon Musk opposing the “Big Beautiful Bill” shouldn’t be a shock to anyone. He literally sat next to Donald Trump and explained we need to cut spending, not pass more spending
Elon Musk explains how to end inflation and drop interest payments forever
“Provided the economy grows faster than the money supply, which means you stop the government overspending and the waste and the output of real useful goods and services exceeds the increase in money supply. You have no inflation and you also drop the interest payments that people pay
The reason the interest payments are so high is because the national debt keeps increasing. So the government is competing to sell debt with the private citizens. This drives up the interest rate.
If you cut back on the deficit, you actually have an amazing situation for people because you get rid of inflation and you drop the interest rates.
That means people's mortgage payments go down, the credit card payments go down, their car payments go down, their student loans go down. Their life becomes more affordable and their standard of living improves.”
Imagine if we took all the intellectual capital focused on getting people to eat bad food or click on mind-numbing ads and instead focused it on building more homes, drones, farms, and factories.
Though small, Muskegon was once a powerhouse- producing a third of all Sherman tank engines in WWII.
Crisis called. Muskegon answered.
In this way it's like many American towns. "Give us a chance, we remember how to build", their streets & shuttered factories seem to say.

Who would’ve thought there would be this much pushback against Elon Musk trying to put money back into the pockets of American citizens, cut the federal deficit, and expose the fraud, waste and corruption in the U.S. government
This man is trying to make your life better and some of you just complain and hate him for it
Dude is worth $400 billion, he doesn’t care about the $5 in your bank account, your personal info, or the dumb stuff you subscribe to
Good God some people are stupid
Stop being brainwashed by legacy media, do your own research, adopt first principles thinking and think independently
Too many people have become sheep because they can’t think for themselves
Imagine lobbying Congress to pass federal marijuana reform, while those same members have enabled and protected the $30B+ illicit marijuana market masquerading as “legal hemp” for 6+ years via the 2018 Farm Bill.
Not a chance in hell they care about state-legal cannabis.

One of the biggest issues with the mainstream conversation on the economy is that the people who control the conversation benefit from globalization, while the people with no voice are hurt by globalization.
People would be shocked to hear how severe the pain and destruction has been for the working class over the last 20-30 years.
This issue is not unique to America. It is present in most developed nations. I’m not sure what the solution is, but I know that my friends in elite circles are oblivious to the situation of my friends not in those circles.
