My worst mistake in remote sales

= focusing on earning potential (OTE) above everything else.

Having a team who do regular sales training and 1:1 development is by far the best ROI - putting in the time.

Thanks to @antonlukas_ leading the way and setting the standards for progress.

Development within the past 2 weeks has been exponential. Not focused on the money.

Driving these roads in Colombia at night is fucking terrifying.

Other side of the rode, other side of the car. Cars also manual so using my other hand.

7 hours drive.

It’s 11pm and I’m knackered.

Every 15minutes some crazy cunt in an unlicensed truck overtakes into oncoming traffic with no view over the hill.

Why is sales is tied to ego?

Only the top performers have gone through the training and have put in the reps with role plays and call reviews.

As you sit in front of many people getting your communication techniques pulled apart, shit on and criticised. You need to let go of your ego and accept advice and help from others, putting yourself in that uncomfortable fire.

You need a strong amount of self belief to weather this storm and stick with something that is so uncomfortable.

Your ego needs to be shrink and grow as you get better. This cycle continues and you grow unbreakable self confidence that you can come out of that fire of stronger every time.

It is this energy that creates top performers, not the techniques and tips themselves; but the immovable self belief that you can weather storms and that is the energy that transitions onto others.
