The “Mother Wound” is the impact of having a mother who is absent or not emotionally attuned to your needs as a child.
It’s very real, and can lead to lower self-esteem, lack of self-awareness, difficulty self-soothing, feeling like nurturing relationships aren’t feasible.

Black Men deserve to grow old.
Black Men deserve to be kept safe.

Black Men deserve to be held.
Black Men deserve to be protected.
Black Men deserve more.

Most men redirect accountability and self-realization and place blame; on women, their parents, society, the economy. Everyone except going within to acknowledge that it is THEIR responsibility to seek growth and change. A man who goes within, is a man who has potential to lead.
And like Miley Cyrus said:
“I didn’t talk badly about you—I talked about what you did to me. If that makes you look bad, that’s not my problem anymore.”
I don’t want a soft life because I’m lazy ! I want a soft life because I’ve spent most of my life in survival mode ! My nervous system has been in fight or flight since childhood & now I’m choosing peace, softness & stability !
When you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it… because not everyone will endure your arrogance in silence. Treat others exactly like you demand to be treated. Atlanta… I’ll see you soon.
