The impact of AI on creative work isn't coming;
IT'S HERE.

I'm living it.

Seven months ago, I lost my design job. In the following months, I watched much of the creative work I had been doing shift to AI.

I'm not against innovation. I believe technology can do incredible things. But as we build the future, we cannot forget the dignity of human creativity—or the families whose lives are already being changed by it.

This isn't an abstract policy debate. It's a real family, real work, real bills, mounting debt, and a real person trying to stay faithful while navigating a changing world.

Our family is struggling to pay our bills. Debt is piling up. We've had to put groceries and gas on credit cards just to make it through each week while I continue applying for jobs, interviewing, and praying that one opportunity will finally open.

This is the reality of today's job market.

Since then, I've applied to hundreds of jobs.

One hiring process began in January and ended in May. More than 300 people applied for a single part-time design position. I made it through every interview round, completed the requested design brief, and still wasn't selected.
