In areas where the government is performing well, citizens feel the impact without the need for loud proclamations. Take the power situation, for example. People can see and experience the improvements directly. We also haven’t heard much lately about feeding challenges in high schools.
But on the existential threat of galamsey, the government is clearly failing. It would be a mistake to dismiss the concerns as mere opposition propaganda. The current opposition, when in government, made that very mistake, assuming it was only the opposing party complaining, and ended up stuck in an echo chamber.
Today, government communicators appear to be softening the hard stance they took on galamsey while in opposition. But galamsey hasn’t become less of an existential threat simply because your party now holds political power.
The evidence of failure is plain for all to see: worsening water quality, increased attacks on anti-galamsey journalists and security personnel, the re-entry of eco-terrorists into supposedly rescued forest reserves, more complaints by civil society groups. Meanwhile, there has been little to no action against the real kingpins driving this menace.
The country is heading in the wrong direction on galamsey. The government must wake up and take decisive action. The message remains clear: #StopGalamseyNow.
Most men are carrying more than you see — not just the burden of their own needs, but the weight of those who look up to them and depend on them.
They wake up every day trying, pushing, sacrificing… not just for themselves, but for their families, partners, children, friends.
Even when the outcome is little, or barely enough, they still keep going — quietly battling self-doubt, frustration, and the pain of not being able to do more.
We already wrestle with the voice in our heads that tells us we’re not doing enough.
Please don’t add to that burden with harsh words or ridicule.
We don’t need perfection. We don’t expect praise.
But sometimes… a little appreciation, a kind word, or just knowing you see our effort — it goes a long way.
To every man doing his best:
We see you. We value you. And even if it doesn’t always show, your effort matters deeply. 💙

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in SEVEN!!! 🙏🏼
Minister of Transport. ..... what's up with these buses?
At a time when things have started easing, we expect the means citizens commute within the cities to also see some improvement.
We can't continue fighting for seats in jalopies when the state has these to deploy.
