Dr. Muriithi Muhoro, born and raised in Murang’a County, scored a straight A at Alliance Boys High School before graduating with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi. He worked as a doctor at Mbagathi Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital, and Mathare Hospital for nearly a decade before quitting to pursue business.
While still an intern, he used his savings to open a dental clinic in Ngumo, which he later sold for Ksh 1.5 million after two years of profitable operation. He then secured government tenders to supply medical equipment and construction materials during devolution.
In July 2017, he invested Ksh 42 million to open the first branch of Charlie’s Bistro at the junction of Raila Odinga Way and Langata Road, identifying a gap for high-end dining in the area. The restaurant made Ksh 3 million in sales in its first month and has since generated over Ksh 100 million from that single outlet, making Charlie’s Bistro one of Nairobi’s most popular restaurant chains and establishing Muhoro as a successful doctor-turned-entrepreneur worth an estimated Ksh 200 million.
i saw a girl on tiktok who said "accountability is so important to me. nobody's perfect, but don't try to flip the script and make my reaction the issue when your actions lit the match" i felt this to the core.
My newest prayer is simple: "Lord, settle it." Settle my mind. Settle my heart. Settle my spirit.
Teach me to walk in peace instead of anxiety, and faith instead of fear.
