@AlGetzWrestling Looked up this 1983 Rikidozan movie on one of the Japanese databases. The title is ザ・力道山 (literally "The Rikidozan") and one of the tags for its entry is indeed ドキュメンタリー (documentary) so you and @jon_boucher were correct.
@jlalibs@diabolikdvd@orbitdvd@GHVKnox This sounds like they're discontinuing. I thought they did years ago, as that was what happened at my local store.
@jeremybarcel0 @AlGetzWrestling @davemeltzerWON At this point, Fritz, Boesch and Blanchard all booked talent out of the same East Texas office in Dallas (formerly the Houston office when Morris Siegel was alive). That changed as time passed.
@vannabardot@hollyrandall You came across like a star even when you weren't a star. Some people have "it" and you are one of them.
I've seen the headgear scene and it's wonderful because of your commitment to an unsexy and ridiculous premise. Gotta imagine most people who watched it loved you.
@AlGetzWrestling Don't quote me on this, but it's possible Jose Lothario may have promoted at least Beaumont. There's a Beaumont promo from Jose in "Watts garage tapes." It proves nothing but he's the kind of guy who might have been figured in.
@AlGetzWrestling Did any of the SETX towns specify if they were promoted by Paul Boesch or maybe one of the Kozaks? I always assumed Beaumont was absorbed into Mid-South via the Houston agreement, but dont know much about Galveston, Port Arthur or Orange.
‘Kayfabe’ is now officially a word as the Merriam-Webster Dictionary added the famous wrestling term amongst the 690 new words added in September:
Added under Sports & Exercise:
kayfabe noun 1 : the tacit agreement between professional wrestlers and their fans to pretend that overtly staged wrestling events, stories, characters, etc., are genuine; broadly : tacit agreement to behave as if something is real, sincere, or genuine when it is not 2 : the playacting involved in maintaining kayfabe
@BradFHenderson Genuinely think a lot of them don't know it. I edited its TMDB entry because both it and IMDB listed Red Bastien as someone different due to a slight misspelling. By the way, can you answer this question?

@Plaidstallions@VinegarSyndrome Some of those are going OOP too, so nice score.
I should have realized it was that time based on the PS anniversary, but how cool and yet bittersweet.
