Our next Design Challenge is live!
We’re exploring how AI could transform the assessment-call experience ... a process often marked by long waits, repeated questioning, inaccessible formats and huge pressure on both claimants and assessors.
What if we could use AI to create assessment calls that are clearer, fairer, easier to navigate and far less stressful ... for everyone involved?
It’s a chance to rethink a system under serious strain and rebuild it around empathy, accuracy and speed.

My first piece of writing for a while. I thought I'd join the AI conversation with a social practice perspective on how Voice AI, in this example, might subtly affect the workplace.

Our first Design Challenge is live!
We’re looking at how AI could transform the handwritten PIP form process … a system slowed by huge backlogs, long waits and the challenge of interpreting thousands of handwritten submissions.
AI can help bring speed, clarity and fairness to a process under real strain.

@BarbaraFrontera I promise to do my very best to mention every single thing I’ve learned in the last 20 years… from A3 Problem Solving to the materialisation of competence in electric toothbrushes 🪥

@joe_jag Yes, but most/all of my work is with business operations teams not dev/product and these teams don't do continuous improvement/retros
E.g. where help used to get help from turning to a colleague, or walking over to a desk, or suppliers who used to pop into customers offices etc
We're delighted that #lascot founder Chris McDermott (@chrisvmcd) returns as a speaker this year with his talk "Re-contextualising 20+ years of learning" https://t.co/mIx8v3sFwG
