Former Senior Editor @cubicle7, sold out to marketing. Bestselling #DMsGuild guy. Dad to an amazing goblin. TTRPGs and stuff. He/him. Follow ≠ endorsement.
@CHofferCBus In unrelated news, on one of my first dates ever I had a panic attack that the milk crate full of 3e books was still in the backseat of my car and the trunk was too crowded to put them away before she came outside.
She never commented on them, and I think she plays D&D now.
@ashleynhwarren Single dad here but in a really good coparenting relationship (although it took a few years to get here!). I think the biggest thing I run into is an assumption that some things must be mom-only. My coparent and I are both full-fledged parents when we have our kid.
I've read a lot of terrific #dnd material recently from publishers large and small. After noticing a lot of common glitches, I compiled a list of tips to consider when editing D&D content. (If you ever apply to WotC and are asked to take the editorial test, pay attention!) A🧵
@PhilBeckwithDnD Player side: Your character's background can evolve, even if that means "rewriting history." Adding to your background can set up great moments.
DM side: Its ok to say you haven't planned for the PCs' move and need to end the session, or ask to focus on something else for now.
Hey fam,
Fuck AI voices...
We are looking for a fantastic voice actor to voice the opening 45 secs for our upcoming #dnd Kickstarter cinematic trailer.
Would LOVE some recommendations, or your own portfolio in the comments. TIA friends!
Any RTs for reach are most welcome 😃
@Jcorvinstevens Really great point here. You really, really don't have to.
Another option is to invest in upgrading the product after it has proven to have some traction. I updated one of my first pieces with a new cover and layout a year after release. I feel they've paid for themselves.
This has been a fun project! I know a lot of RPG creators are curious about costs, so I thought I'd share what this adventure cost to create. I spent roughly $1,320 dollars on the cover, map, internal art, and editing.
@homebrewinator Whole lot of people I could name, but going with @PhilBeckwithDnD. Phil was one of a few DMs Guild "originals" that replied to a random message years ago when I was looking to get into that community. Really happy Phil (and others!) took some time for me.
Hey #ttrpgcommunity ! I wanna do something different this #TTRPGRising . Tag a creator, and give them a compliment. If you get tagged, follow suit. We need more positivity and uplifting content!
Double checking my med bills. Hospital, 1 day, after insurance: $6714.22.
I was there 5 days.
That was before the cancer. :P
There are two separate ttRPG bundles to help me cover these expenses.

I’ve written about how important it is to have a good editor on a project, and fortunately we’ve acquired one of the best. Read more on our Substack:

My kid's school is putting on 'The Seussical Musical" on 4/20. Every part of me hopes this was intentional, and I may have a new best friend in the drama director.
