My 10 Yr old boy Sam is going to take part in Cancer Research Race for Life Pretty Muddy in Birmingham this July. Sam never got to meet his Granny Judy because she died of Cancer a long time ago. She was an amazing lady with a big heart and would've dotted on her grandson.
Sam has always said he would've loved to have met her. She passed away at the age of 52. Far too young.
Cancer is happening right now, that's why Sam is taking part to raise money and save lives. If that means someone else's grandson can meet their Granny then that's a win.
It's simple, no-one and I mean no -one should be able to own a weapon. Only the military/police should have access to guns/semi-automatics. And that's it. You want to shoot a gun? Go to a shooting range. You want the killing to stop? Stop cherishing guns over children.
For last few nights I've had the honour of entertaining @nyrensten at the St Regis Resort, Maldives for her 50th birthday party. She's an incredible and inspiring woman with a wonderful bunch of down to earth friends. So humbled to be a part of the incredible celebrations!
Delighted to announce that I will be performing in the play 'Eden', a psychological thriller, in the Ron Barber Studio at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham, 26th and 27th July. This all part of 'Birmingham Fest' a festival celebrating the Midlands performing arts scene
Here's the synopsis:
"A notorious self-help guru meets an unassuming new recruit at a weekend retreat. Their conversation turns to the recruit's past. When a hidden agenda is revealed, their tense stand-off gradually turns into a complex game of manipulation, revenge and murder.
So, I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to that casting director who took the time to write that message. It was deeply appreciated. And it's the little things like that, that keeps my faith in this industry. #actorslife#casting#castingdirectors#tvseries#auditions
As actors, we audition for a role and then have to quickly forget about it. Otherwise, we can drive ourselves mad as days/weeks of silence go by. And the more the silence streches you know you haven't got the part. No news is bad news in the audition world.
However, today, I received an email from a Casting Director informing me that I hadn't got the role but thanked me for auditioning. In the 25 years I've been in this crazy industry, this was a rare moment. I've become so used to 'rejection silence' that I was genuinely touched.
Today I got to fly a helicopter. Yep that's right a real life freaking helicopter! And it was awesome!!! Thank you @FlyingPigHelis for a wonderful, unique experience.
“Seriously I can just come out and say it? Call him a liar?” asks @JonathanPieNews, a fictional broadcast reporter created and performed by comedian Tom Walker, in a satirical video about Britain’s Prime Minister.
