At @DoorDash, we’re building the rails for the future of commerce.
We’re taking another step toward that future by investing in and partnering with @RideAlso. Their team is building some of the most compelling purpose-built EVs, and we’re excited to work together to pursue autonomous delivery at scale.
I’ll also be joining ALSO as a Board Observer and look forward to supporting the team as they grow. Let’s go!
@zachmeyer_@samsheffer@Rivian@RJScaringe@RideAlso you can keep riding basically forever once you get to a low SOC. we take the power you put in pedaling, subtract out the (small) amount needed for lights, screen and send the rest to the wheel. So the battery doesn’t deplete further.
How are bike incumbents adapting to the COVID-19 cultural moment?
@iamspecialized’s Ian Kenny and Chris Yu join the podcast to talk about how the legacy player is crossing the chasm from pedal to electric, analog to smart, and fitness to transportation.

A sports tech cloud platform has just been announced, alongside a new incubator. It's got some heavy hitter names behind it, but also real-world customers already on the platform. It's something you've never heard of, but might already be using daily: https://t.co/OmUmjSnPLd
I’m excited to finally be able to announce the launch of a project outside of my day job at Specialized - the founding of a new sports tech company @zone5ventures. We are at our infancy and it’s full-on startup life, but we’re fired up to help make the world more active.
@angryasian@CycleSystemsAc@cyclingtips@AeroCoach @markflorence11 It’s a rough rule of thumb for comparing the “traditional” version of any of those pieces vs a modern, well-designed aero version. There are certainly large variations within each of those product categories though.
The CyclingTips Nerd Alert podcast is here! Our first episode sees @angryasian sit down with @chrisyuinc and @therealrchung to talk all things aerodynamics, and what you can do to go faster.

@BjtMage Depends a lot on the rider (position), but for a stage like today the Evade would be faster for most riders, with the caveat that thermal regulation will be better on the Prevail (if that’s an issue for a rider).
