Few thought this possible 3 months ago, but it needs others to gamble on peace too. @chrmeyer and I think that one way of doing this is to ensure that the Ethiopian macroeconomy is stabilised, with IMF, WB, US, UK, EU support and G20 DSSI debt relief. 2/2 https://t.co/IxGb9VFlGH
Christian Meyer @chrmeyer and myself in plea not to delay support for macroeconomic reform and stabilisation in Ethiopia by IMF, WB or EU.
Accountability matters but give it the time required. Don’t delay support beyond humanitarian, or peace/stability may be hard to maintain.
On the economic cost of Ethiopia's conflict and the large upside of lasting peace -- me in @dw_amharic Thanks for the good conversation @EsheteBekele!

Let’s increase the upside of the peace deal in Ethiopia for the whole country and its entire population, as a means to help it stick. Worth a gamble now.
Nice to see this short piece coming out just when in Addis Ababa discussing these issues at the highest levels.

Child marriage in Bangladesh is high and things aren’t changing fast enough.
I’m happy to share a new @CGDev p/ship with @BIGD_bracu that aims to reduce child marriage and keep girls in school. With @Marjiepan@leecrawfurd@RadhikaNagesh@kwrahman
