Analog Obsession VariMoon.
What really changed my mind, was watching a behind the scenes of Pendulum back in the day. And seeing Rob Swire making sick Drum and Bass in Cubase really made me feel I could do what I wanted and sound professional even if I was not using the "gold standard" #MusicProduction

Just being curious. What DAW are y'all using?
The first DAW I ever came in contact with was Cubase. A mate's dad had a little recording room in his cellar we used to jam in. He used Cubase.
Naturally, that was where we gravitated to when we started producing our own stuff.

A few years later, when I started producing electronic music, everyone was using FL, and Reason, and Ableton. And all the professionals swore by Logic and Pro Tools.
I'd gotten pretty decent at Cubase at that point, but I really felt I had to switch to be professional.

@WeAreFocusrite Easy! Stop listening to any music whatsoever. Why would you want to be influenced by other people's creativity or style?
Lock yourself in a room, record the first thing that comes to mind, write in a language only you understand, and most importantly:
Never seek feedback. Ever!🙃
Honestly, this looks incredible!
Especially for those of us who aren't using ableton.
So many ideas for cool things to do with this.
Gonna have to play around with this for sure!
My first plugin is out today!!!

We're so pumped about how this came out and can't wait to hear what you do with it!
@WeAreFocusrite I'm impressed myself!
At the risk of sounding like a bit of a marketing rep, it does speak to the quality. I'll let you know when (or if) it finally kicks the bucket 😅
@andrewhuang This is genuinely the first time I've heard proper original music made with a rubber chicken!😂
Not about to diss rubber chicken covers, but this is really dope!
@welcome2bishu Haven't had a laugh like that in a hot minute! Dude, the 'pre-drop' vocal in the second beat had me rolling on my goddamn floor 🤣
Also, why the f is #3 actually a fuckin vibe?
If you're interested in more amazing free plugins and instruments, check back in a few days! I'm about to release an article about my personal must-have free VSTs out there. And it's not just a huge list of free stuff. It's what I think are some of the best plugins out there. 3/3
Decent Sampler is one of the best samplers out there! If you haven't tried it, for sure go for it!
And since you're there already, might as well check out their summer sale. I'm sure as hell gonna pick up a few things I've been eying for a while.
#musicproduction#decentsampler
Decent Sampler is also one of my favorite free VSTs of all time. I wouldn't wanna miss it in any of my projects. Especially with so many people creating great, and sometimes free, instruments for it!

High tech, low life, and everything in between - that's what cyberpunk's all about. And the music? It's just as edgy and fascinating. Ever since Cyberpunk 2077 was first teased it's honestly been a genre that I just can't get enough of #cyberpunk#musicproducer
I'm writing up my personal top 10 free VSTs at the moment. I know many of us already have way too many plugins as it is, but I personally think it doesn't matter whether a plugin is free or paid. As long as it does something better than the rest, it should be a must-have!
Most music producers know "glue compressors". But did you know that there is an incredible free SSL-style compressor out there? BUSTERse by Analog Obsession may have its quirks, but it straight up sounds incredible. #VSTs#musicproduction
Tracing back to the '80s, Cyberpunk Music has evolved through the years. From Blade Runner's soundtrack to modern EDM, it's a genre constantly reinventing itself. Since Cyberpunk 2077 came out, there's been a lot of new takes on the genre! #cyberpunk#MusicHistory
I know I'm not doing much in the grand scheme of things. But damn, if even one more person sees this video and maybe watches a bit of @venustheory's back catalog of awesome music production content from me whining, I've done my damn share ...

I'm not really that keen on pushing drama much, but when it comes to social platforms, the amount of blatant censorship can be extremely frustrating. Pair that with intransparent and incompetent "help desk" staff, you've got #YouTube. Case and point ...
