@signulll Doesn't seem that reasonable?
If their primary concern is distillation they should start running a proper KYC program.
They won't, because it would slow their growth.
Genuine question, if you're worried about distillation can't that be most readily addressed by a proper KYC program?
It seems like frontier providers should bear the cost of that rather than US tax payers.
Most financial and commerce platform companies already have to do this for every customer they onboard
@Jeremia846032@FrogTroubadour Yeah I totally agree on that point. Many top athletic prospects are pretty clear by like age 14 even and I agree the best of those tend to focus football or basketball
@Jeremia846032@FrogTroubadour That's not to say MMA isn't missing out on clear talents like Fairchild who would make the sport much more deeply competitive.
More just don't think you could throw any old NFL player in the octagon and have success.
The original post says "most nfl guys could be top mma contenders with a year or two or training."
I don't think that's true. It is probably most true at heavyweight where power/athleticism play a bigger factor but even there you have plenty of examples of NFL players who tried and washed out.
I think Fairchild would be an amazing MMA prospect but mainly because he would be coming in with deep wrestling experience since childhood.
@DaveBatterberry@SeattlePD Hey Dave, Bite of Seattle is a big family event in the city. There are reports that people have been shot, possibly children. You are a sick fuck.
@ohyeahhhhh94814@chefsevenn For burgers? In n Out, McDonald's, Shake Shack, Wendy's, Carl's Jr, etc. all of which charge me less way less than Five Guys lol
I think people in the industry are more on top of it than indie game twitter would lead you to believe. I've seen especially strong adoption for gameplay programming and art pipelines.
Fortunately none of us are just here for the money, if that's your focus games have been a terrible business model since like 1999 lol.
Honestly the most discouraging part is SWEs who have only ever aspired to maintain CRUD apps at FAANG post these Fable outputs and suggest it invalidates your whole career, technical, and artistic efforts (not saying that's you, there have just been a lot of those types of posts recently).
I'm just gonna keep making games though. It's not about money for most of us and I think that's why we're able to make stuff that some dude in SF trying to fast-FIRE will never make.
@signulll "if you put this game on the app store in ~2012, it would’ve potentially grossed $5-10m at least over its life span, maybe even more."
Now do 2016 lmao. Mobile has been a blood bath for ages. It's a red ocean
