this d4vid case is exactly why I always stress learning to recognize symbolism and read patterns in people’s behaviors and faces. there were signs for years that he was capable of this or at the very least fascinated by it—but people dismissed it as being “edgy.” i pointed out his bloody aesthetic years ago, and his fans called my post “satanic panic.”
these people often tell you exactly who they are long before they act. stop making excuses for them.
Being neurodivergent means any question I ask is seen as an attack, and any admission of confusion is seen as insincere. I speak very plainly and yet I feel like I’m speaking another language.
framing this as jealousy when it’s actually about displacement is WILD. native New Yorkers are being pushed out of our own neighborhoods due to rising costs and limited housing opportunities. asking why locals don’t have more priority in the city we were born and raised in is not “counting blessings” it’s me questioning a system that often leaves natives behind while our communities rapidly change around us.
so many people respect and even advocate for natives from places like Hawaii when they speak on protecting opportunities for locals and tell us not to move there. i should be allowed to express similar frustrations without being painted as bitter or hateful. this is about housing insecurity and preserving community, not resentment toward individuals being “blesssed”
i don’t need advice or motivational words, i just need someone to acknowledge that carrying everything i do all the time is too heavy & help me escape it all for a bit.
Did y’all read the comic section of the paper when you were little? I tried to talk to someone about this popular comic and he was like “Who tf read the paper as a child???” I thought the comic section was for kids and all of us read it???
