@PlunYu_ Thinking of the future without PlayStation. Already installed GOG, Might even get a Switch 2 if Nintendo keep supporting physical. Maybe even one of the Evercade handhelds.
We get that digital is the future for a lot of people.
But for many gamers and collectors, physical games are still part of the experience. The shelf, the box art, the memories, the secondhand finds, the imports, and the feeling that the game is yours.
Playasia has always stood for game preservation and full ownership by the consumer.
@IGN One of these companies needs to get off their ass and make a new console with full support of physical media. I vote SEGA cause they got the experience.
After sitting with the Playstation news for a bit, I came to realize something…
Isn’t what Sony is doing kinda illegal?
They’re essentially creating a monopoly by gutting any market except the ps store.
No competition. No competitive prices. Nothing.
Seems illegal to me.
Sony got charred online today ending physical and as well they should have. This is going to continue to beat them up unless they redirect and undo this decision. Mindshare and having a positive brand people want to support is important. This is FAR from positive. @PlayStation
@Dreamboum When retro games coming to modern consoles was first announced, I always imagined there'd be this huge mega catalogue of games and it would pass through from gen to gen through. But nope we never got this. What we got was half assed. Although 250 is pretty chunky.
@pushsquare Of course it's not like the good ol days of Japan Sony where they would bow there heads in apology and own up to their mistakes. No this is California Sony, screw us hard then run off hiding till the anger dies down.
I need the 'this doesn't affect me personally' people to stop opening their mouths about the physical discs being discontinued.
You don't have to tell people how much you don't care. Those are inside thoughts. You can keep them in that pulpy mass you call a brain.
