Our preprint on engineered bacterial microlenses is out! We engineered bacteria to display sea sponge enzymes on their outer membranes. These bacteria can self-assemble a bioglass coating around themselves, and focus light into bright, photonic nanojets.

One of the greatest honors of my life was the privilege of serving as commander-in-chief, and with pride also came sometimes heartbreak and loss. And the sober recognition of the sacrifices that so many Americans and their families have made to preserve our freedom.
On Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We owe them so much, and their memories will never be forgotten.
Yes! You did it!
@iGEM_Copenhagen NETLANDIS won the Grand prize🎉🎉🎉

You are an amazing team!
You made us so proud😊

Humans are a pretty standard issue mammal, with the obvious exception that we have a large brain (relative to body size) and just exceptionally complex behaviour. Our genetics is "standard mammal" - diploid genetics, and a X-Y hetreogametic sex system
We are very proud of Lene Holberg Blicher who has received the 'DTU Work Environment Award' for her tireless efforts to ensure a safe working environment at DTU Bioengineering. The award is richly deserved!
👏🏆

We made one thousand new-and-improved DNA distributions for the 2022 @iGEM competition, a global genetic-engineering 'olympics' enabling students everywhere. Photos show first 500 kits being assembled for shipping. Gratitude to @Traci_H_Angelli, Vinoo Selvarajah, and Grace Su.
Some days you just see years of work end in something sweet.
"Please be informed that a priority founding European patent application regarding your invention ”A method to generate synthetic promoters based on genomic DNA sequences”, has been filed" - more to come soon.
Finally had time to display the @iGEM_DTU trophy of 2021 (to the right). @igemmarburg did not win them all. We are getting our 2022 team together and look forward to see you all for the @iGEM jamboree in Paris, hopefully.
Meeting of the @iGEM Responsible Conduct Committee just now. I am privileged to work with these great colleagues, and iGEM is fortunate to have such a committed, experienced and thoughtful group.
We are happy to announce that we won not only the Manufacturing track, but also Best Model and Best Part Collection 🤘🤘. Thank you for a fantastic journey and supervision @ChrWorkman@HTSBiotechMoss, Kyle and Fabiano #igem_hq
The @iGEM student competition 2020 is in full swing. DTU Biobuilders @iGEM_DTU compete with the project "Reshape" - reshaping morphology in filamentous fungi to aid industrial prod. of proteins and small molecules. They have the skills - so best of luck! https://t.co/gjOUV4r9wb
Begge dele forvrider.
Researchers from @DTUtweet & members of #Danish Embassy visited CCAMP & discussed possible scale up of existing partnership to academia-industry collaborations for fostering impactful innovations in both countries. Visitors toured CCAMP facilities including the BLiSC #CryoEM
