Peace is hard to comprehend in a world that is suffering. Yet, as we listen and respond to the words of Jesus, we come to understand Jesus as the ‘Prince of Peace’ and His peace can flood our hearts, calm our troubled minds, and bring peace into our relationships and daily life.

In the mess, the chaotic, and the mundane; through celebrations, triumphs, and victories, we are called to discover the joy of the Lord as our strength. Despite the harshness and rawness of life, through Christ we can find joy in all these things.

God is Love. If we claim to know God, then it ought to be reflected in our lives and how we care for those around us. We can't say we love God whom we can't see, if we don't love those whom we can see.

God spoke through the prophets to remind us that religious observances without justice, mercy and humility are meaningless: “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?”

As we enter the season of Lent, today we think on Obedience. Philippians 2:8 "Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." May we learn to follow his example of obedience.
