@chaelynn__ It counted as an absent towards the district’s yearly report card the school gets from the state. It DID NOT affect your grade! Your last official day was May 8, everything after that didn’t hurt you (unless you had to take the final). Best of luck to you all in your futures

I ran 3 miles outside today to show high schoolers they won’t die running in the cold. So when my athletes tell me it was too cold and they “couldn’t” run over break I’ll roll my eyes and walk away. Doesn’t even address how they could do core, bike, treadmill, lift, swim inside!
Crazy stuff! Ireland’s Paul Robinson ran a 4:17 MILE in Antarctica...100% on ice...for a new continental record ❄️🏃♂️❄️
Go ahead...complain about how cold it was on your run today 🤣

Athletes need to eat for FUEL. Eating yourself until your gut busts or cutting calories are both mistakes. Eat yourself FUEL (not full). You should never be hungry.
Challenging workouts aren't to be feared. They serve to build the mental toughness you'll need in your race. Relish them, even if they don't go as well as you hoped.
