The responders who got sick and died of COVID-19 during most of the pandemic didnโt get to choose whether to be exposed. They did their duty. If you wonโt do your duty because you choose not to get vaccinated, why should we choose to employ you? #NoJabNoJob
@AmericanAir Truly in the middle of the trip from hell and actually nowhere near halfway. AA1154 from SDQ to MIA delayed by baggage mishandling. Missed cx to PHX en route to SEA. No SEA flights tomorrow or PHX flights that could connect me for SEA, so sent to MCO. - 1/2
@AmericanAir Finally got to PHX and now waiting 15 mins on tarmac for gate to clear. This really is no way to run an airline. Clearly, your bottom line matters more than customer service, safety, and comfort. Iโm demanding compensation for this misery.

@SkinnerPm โProfessionalizing,โ public safety services has disconnected responders from the communities they serve. Instead of neighbors helping neighbors, we now see safety as a service we buy from the state rather than a state we build in the service of one another. 2/2
@SkinnerPm Exactly. Giving people agency and opportunity to turn almost anything that troubles them into an โemergency,โ we have systematically entrenched an inability to cope and come together as communities to solve problems on our own. 1/2
@KOINNews The coveted endorsements of non-resident, bigoted cops and firefighters arenโt much of a prize. Theyโve already gotten most of what they wanted from this administration and they still want more.
Iโm seeing a bit of โbut visitors wonโt know how to say Karanga a Hape or Te Wai Horotiu Stationโ.
I found it hard to say Champs-รlysรฉesโClemenceau Station in Paris but I didnโt ask them to change it and shock horror I learned how to say it.
@SkinnerPm This message is far more relevant and important than all the โnever forgetโ platitudes of this and every other anniversary combined. Remember what we lost. Remember what we felt. Remember what we must do to heal our nation and the world.
@ntkallday So many of us with mixed Irish and English ancestry find ourselves quite conflicted by this difficult historical truth. We can accept the horror of oppression, but find it difficult to accept responsibility for something that inflicted such suffering on our own ancestors.
