@champwebdotnet I don’t understand with all of this why we don’t have the conversation about why the pits close in the first place. I know, safety but there isn’t even a conversation. A lot of us are old enough to remember when they didn’t close. Always felt it was for drama CRAPCAR style.
@ChrisMedlandF1 After decades of watching F1, I have finally given up. Too gimmicky. Doesn’t even look like racing. And shame on F1 for being in North America on Indianapolis 500 day. The Greatest Specticle in Racing. Period.
@marshallpruett@RACERHQ I’m old enough to remember the pits staying open, that other open wheel series with the batteries leaves it open. Feels like the question isn’t open for discussion. A rule started under the old IRL in the name of safety so everyone pits at the same time for drama. CRAPCAR style
@marshallpruett@RACERHQ Everytime this issue comes up, it leads me back to the “why do we close the pits”? I know, safety. See how well that is going? “We can’t have cars racing to the pits.” Already do! The late, great Robin Miller asked this question, why aren’t we? Leave em open!
