“I’m not starting because Coach doesn’t like me.”
No. You’re not starting, because:
• You only train w/ the team when it’s “convenient”
• When you DO come, you do your own thing
• You laugh at your teammates, and think you’re better than them
• You don’t take coaching

PARENTS: Many teachers, coaches, and administrators are in challenging situations w/no clear-cut solutions. Instead of joining the mob that criticizes and second guesses, try to understand the complexity of the situations. Extend some grace & empathy. Maybe even encourage them.
You can buy your kids a phone; pay for college, a car. You can buy sporting equipment & uniforms, but you can’t buy their success. If they want it, they will have to work for it & earn it. Success isn’t easy. It’s gritty & hard. The price is a lot of extra work, trials & failure!
