Former paperboy/journalist. Current media relations guy @ClevelandFed (views = my own). I love chess, Pearl Jam and Skyline Chili. Wapak forever. Dad of twins.
Just met Stephen Dubner from @Freakonomics. I had a legit professional reason to approach him after he got off stage ... but half a second later I was like "OMG I've been listening to your podcast since the iPod days and I really need a picture."
@AnnaStaver There's no way for a reporter to make that sort of guarantee in advance. Taking a few minutes to speak to someone is an investment of time, sure, but if the reporter is acting in good faith I'd suggest talking to them again. But if you're never quoted that's a different story
Mark your calendar: May 14, 1pm ET, we’re hosting "The Case for Central Bank Independence" virtually with: our president Beth Hammack, Athanasios Orphanides (@MIT), Michael Bordo (@RutgersU), Ricardo Reis (@LSEnews), and Edward Nelson (@FederalReserve). https://t.co/5h9eXnv7P2
My late cousin, who I adored and miss every day, once said to me: Never make fun of someone for mispronouncing a word. It means they learned it by reading.
I’m moderating a free webinar on inflation expectations at 3 p.m. TODAY (Wednesday, Oct. 8).
I'll be joined by economists from the @ClevelandFed Center for Inflation Research.

Wapak friends: I will be giving a “Federal Reserve 101” talk at the Wapak library THIS TUESDAY, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. Will be a lesson in economics, civics and history, all in one. And by the way ... the biggest vault door IN THE WORLD is at the @ClevelandFed.
I left the news biz two years ago, but I put the ol' reporter hat back on to write this article on what caused the housing supply crisis ... and what could solve it.
Zoning came up a lot. Other ideas relate to housing preservation and modular homes.

Just heard Enter Sandman on the @NPR station in Columbus. Is there a @WOSU request line? Can I get some @Pantera before the next news break? @Metallica
Small business owners: This Fed survey is widely cited - and if we get enough responses, we can publish data for more midsize cities. This year we did it for #Cleveland – a first! Hear that, #Columbus? Some #CLE results (survey link’s at the bottom):
