@OlukoluAdedeji@Soulmedika Luke 2:24 & Lev 12:1-8 - And if His earthly father had the money, why offer a pair of pigeons/turtle doves (an alternative meant for the poor) for Mary's purification?

Matthew 7:24-27 - If He had the money, while perform a miracle to pay tax for Himself and Peter?
Luke 8:1-3 - If He had the money, why did the women provide for Him from their substance.
@Tradinator33_@Soulmedika Scripture said so.
During Jesus' presentation, a pair of pigeon/turtle doves were offered for Mary' purification, which was an alternative provided for poor families that could not afford a lamb - Luke 2:24.
You can read about the offerings and alternatives in Leviticus 12:1-8
@TOPBOI_GMI__@wilson_ Though I've heard of people sharing a similar experience, I've also come across some church groups that do the opposite of what you described.
So, it's not a general thing.
Also there are lots of benefits that come from being in a proper church. I can personally attest to this.
@zyno73@wilson_ I think we should understand that not all churches are like this.
There are a thousand and one church groups in Nigeria alone and not all groups are like that.
@Lucky_dfl@wilson_ I guess you don't mean all pastors, but someone who reads this will think you mean all pastors.
Surely, there are amazing and wonderful pastors out there.
It's just unfortunate that people who want to serve God sincerely fall into the hands of bad "pastors" sometimes.
@tomjoe When observations like this are noted, it is important to review the JD.
I've seen and heard of instances where the JD for a role was altered and the type of applications received differed greatly.
So, you might want to review your JD, the pay, or even recruitment process.
@tomjoe Just 11 out of a labour market with millions of people, and it's enough to say "we have a skills problem in Nigeria"?
I beg to disagree.
Sometimes, we make the mistake of hastily generalizing observations. While your observations are valid, the inference to Nigeria is invalid.
Five months from now, you could still be in a role that feels replaceable…
Or you could be trusted with what companies value most — their data.
In 5 months, you go from “interested in tech” to someone organisations rely on.
