Last month, I wrote to the Secretary of the Union Ministry of @TribalAffairsIn highlighting the alarming issue of severe under-allocation and delays in the disbursal of funds under the National Fellowship for Higher Education and National Overseas Scholarship for ST students. Today, the same concern has been reported in the newspapers.

I urge the Union Government to resolve this issue at the earliest, as thousands of tribal scholars depend on timely support. I will continue to follow up until the issue is resolved.

Today I raised the alarming issue of severe under-allocation & delays in disbursal of funds under the National Fellowship for Higher Education & National Overseas Scholarship for ST students with Tribal Affairs Secretary Vibhu Nayar avaru.

He acknowledged the concern, responded positively & assured that the schemes will be set right. Thousands of tribal scholars depend on timely support — I will continue to follow up until the issue is resolved.

ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಫೆಲೋಶಿಪ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಾಗರೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ವೇತನ ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಳಂಬ ಧೋರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುದಾನದ ತೀವ್ರ ಕೊರತೆ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ವಿಭು ನಾಯರ್‌ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷಯ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದೆ.

ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ತ್ವರಿತಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು, ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಆದಿವಾಸಿ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಫೆಲೋಶಿಪ್‌ ಸಿಗದೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಸುಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇತ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುವವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
