We are all HYPOCRITICAL
We bend the rules when it comes to those we like.
We soften our morals when someone we like is the culprit.
That brings me to the matter of Obi vs Soludo on one hand and Obi vs Tinubu on the other hand.
Obi built his presidential brand in 2022 on "go and verify" (although he rarely uses it these days) and unprovoked always made claims that tries to paint him as a saint or one never-seen-before revolutionary that made Anambra State to become a model of good governance. In the process he makes certain claims that are lies or at best exaggerated.
If that is where it stops, it would have been manageable, but Obi goes ahead to paint others as bunch of criminals with no integrity. Against the President, he routinely have a go at his integrity, academic records, parentage, and other personal matters aside the normal and expected political rhetorics around Tinubu's governance.
Now the irony is, when Obi does all these, he is hailed by his supporters. They don't see anything wrong in it. Even so-called "neutrals" sit on the fence and pretend not to see these Obi attacks. But the moment there is anything like a pushback against Obi, all the ants will come out from the Anthill of the Savannah and even rainforest to wail.
They will remember that it is unnecessary to do this or that or that Obi should be left alone. They will never tell Obi to leave his opponents alone o.
So, you see why I don't fall into this kind of emotional trap.
Peter Obi is the NDC presidential candidate (used to be LP presidential candidate), he is therefore a political opponent and I don't have any reason to spare him when he doesn't spare my candidate. He lies against my candidate, twists my candidate's governance records just to paint a picture that he is better. Why would I treat such a person with political kid gloves?
He will go to a place, make claims and add one sentimental line like "if you show me one kobo missing or who I'm owing I'll stop campaigning" 😂. This doesn't move me one bit, I know the drill.
Now, they have not started showing you one kobo that is probably missing and your supporters are wailing.
The problem with Obi is that he is not very strategic. Strategies evolve. What worked in 2023 would not necessarily work in 2027. As a former governor, you know very well that you're not clean, you're lucky that your predecessor wasn't the type to write petitions to the EFCC or fight you knowing how you helped him become governor. But that Obiano didn't want to fight doesn't mean the next one won't if you don't apply tact in what you say especially as regards your governance record.
Soludo as Governor can call a bank where Anambra has account and request for a detailed statement and within minutes it's ready and the content can easily puncture a claim you made, as we have seen with the N2.13 billion ($15 million) Ecological fund inflow that he mentioned unprovoked. Now he would have to explain where the money entered and what it was used for.
When I tell Obi's supporters that he is not nearly as clean as he portrays himself to be, they really don't understand how things happen in government. Maybe because there is no active EFCC case against him, it means he's a saint 😂.
If you ask Obidients to tell you how he spent LGA allocations for 8 years they can't. If a sitting Governor wants to be petty, he can commission an inquiry on how these funds were spent without appropriation. Let's not even go back to the 2009 arrest of Obi's aide while he was transporting 250 million in cash (he's not a bank bullion van by the way) to Lagos. When caught they said it was meant to pay a contractor! I don't know if Fidelity bank cheque got finished which left movement by cash and by road as the only alternative to pay the so-called contactor.

Thinking about investing in 🇳🇬 ?
I am here to formally encourage you to take this bold step as Nigeria is open for business.
Whether it’s retail, fintech, manufacturing, mining, data centres, Call Centers, AI, logistics, or agro-processing, 🔈 this is the right moment. As a local business owner & ex-Big 4 management consultant who watches closely for positive or negative signals, I am never shy about discussing the good, the bad or ugly. These are a few reasons why you should invest:
✅ Naira has stabilized, allowing proper business planning
✅ Inflation is being beaten back steadily with reduced FX volatility
✅ Investor confidence is rising — reflected in successive credit rating upgrades (Fitch, Moody’s & S&P)
✅ Sound monetary policy under the BAT administration
✅ External reserves at multi-year highs
✅ Tax reforms simplifying compliance and broadening the revenue base
✅ Significant infrastructure push (roads, coastal highway, power & logistics)
✅ Domestic refining capacity has turned Nigeria into a net exporter of petroleum products
✅ Strong rebound in corporate earnings across major listed companies
✅ Clear priority on attracting long-term productive capital
I equally encourage real estate, however seek out reputable agencies or partners before investing.
The foundation is being rebuilt. Those who position early will benefit most.
Nigeria is open for business. Kudos to the BAT administration for this turn around.
Bring your money home! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Nigeria Forward 🇳🇬💚

I’ve been deeply invested in this project from the start, and I could foresee the outcome even before the rain set in. If we can’t get the basics right, then we still have a long road ahead. What we’re seeing now is the result of a so‑called world‑class project recently executed and frankly, it’s nothing short of ridiculous. @lagosstategovt@drobafemihamzat @jidesawoolu

These Police Officers just parked me at Bolade, Oshodi, pointed guns at me, and forced me to transfer N100,000 them. When my bank app showed "exceeded transfer limit", they dragged me to a nearby POS to do it with my card.
They initially demanded 150k each.
They were 4 in number.
These are the names I could copy:

VIDEO: Lawmaker representing Surulere constituency 1, Desmond Elliot withdraws party agents from voting venue, alleges intimidation and harassment of supporters, insists he will not step down.
For Immediate Release
May 20, 2026.
Hon. Desmond Elliott Did Not Step Down From APC Primary Race in Surulere Constituency 1
Our attention has been drawn to misleading reports and deliberate misrepresentations suggesting that Hon. Desmond Elliott stepped down from the contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State House of Assembly Primary Election in Surulere Constituency 1.
We wish to categorically state that Hon. Desmond Elliott did not withdraw or step down from the race.
For the avoidance of doubt, what Hon. Desmond Elliott communicated in the video posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @DesmondOElliot, was his deep concern over the deliberate exclusion and intimidation of his supporters, many of whom were denied access to the designated voting venues, particularly in Ward F2 and Ward F3.
These unfortunate developments created an atmosphere of tension and raised legitimate fears of a possible breakdown of law and order. In light of these troubling circumstances, Hon. Desmond Elliott, acting responsibly and in the interest of peace, urged his agents and supporters to withdraw from the immediate voting environment to prevent escalation and to avoid any form of violence or chaos.
His decision was one of statesmanship and restraint—not a concession, withdrawal, or surrender of his candidacy.
It is therefore misleading and inaccurate for anyone to interpret or portray his remarks as stepping down from the race. Hon. Desmond Elliott remains committed to democratic principles, the rule of law, and the mandate freely given to him by the overwhelming majority of his supporters across Surulere Constituency 1.
We call on party members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard false narratives and remain focused on the need for transparency, fairness, and justice in the electoral process.
At this critical moment, it is imperative that the integrity of the primary election process be upheld and that every legitimate supporter and delegate is allowed to participate freely, without intimidation or obstruction.
Signed
Concerned Supporters and Stakeholders
Surulere Constituency 1
Lagos State
There were clear cases of intimidation across different polling units, and my supporters were denied access to accreditation — let alone voting.
This is not democracy. #apcprimaries
Warm greetings to all Surulerians and everyone at large. First off i want to say a very big thank you to our party leadership and most especially to our President, His Excellency President @officialABAT for allowing all candidates to test their popularity in their respective constituencies.
However events that have transpired over the past few weeks within our great party in Surulere should not be!
