@delpan16971307 @FoldableHuman Oh yeah, I remember his video on ultrablack paints, where anyone who has colour graded anything before can see where he's crushed the fuck out of the black channel to make the video viable, with background objects and shadows suddenly becoming inescapable voids in some shots.

@William0406 @sylessae Sorry, let me clarify - I'm a designer more than a drawing type artist. My skills are not up to par for that, but it was my designs and concepts. I wish I'd have thought of it at the time, but ultimately, I didn't, and it's too far beyond that time now. Live and learn, I suppose.

@Pilestedt Might be worth getting in touch with Jon Ferguson over at the Royal Armories in Leeds. I don't believe he's done Millitary service, but he is an academic specializing in weapons and weapon design, both for small arms and artillery, and he does do consulting for games!

@TehMadness @DiscussingFilm For all the talk of taking jobs from folks, when something happens like, say, busting up your shoulder from falling wrong, or even by accident, because you don't know your trade, and it shuts down production for weeks, loses them just as much if not more money.

@TehMadness @DiscussingFilm For the big stuff, I get that, but it's worth having training anyway - sure, you might not have to do a wire gag or a big fall, but knowing how to hit the ground safely and being able to carry out a fight scene well isn't taking jobs from pros, it's keeping the production rolling
