Kingfishers have took part in #HelloYellow day today. We have looked at how the charity
@YoungMindsUK
help young people with mental health issues. We have enjoyed lots of activities throughout our day and the children brought a donation in to go to the charity. 💛

Some of the children at Churchfield CE Primary Academy have made this wonderful bouquet of paper flowers in our Nurture Room to celebrate #HelloYellow and #WorldMentalHealthDay
It's been great to see all the children and staff dressed in yellow too.

It was lovely to see so many smiley faces coming into Nursery, we enjoyed creating some sparkly stars & made a wish for the new year!

We would also like to say how proud we are of our new children that have recently joined us 🌟💫

Reception have been exploring Arctic Animals and habitats as well as the changing seasons. 🐧🐻‍❄
We’ve also got a lovely tea shop set up to warm up from those cold days and a new fine motor area to keep those tricky fingers busy. 🖐

Ollie was inspired by yesterday's visit from Gary Rapson, and he went home and drew a picture of Captain Lantus and their logo. Thank you @the_lantus for inspiring our children at Churchfield.

We have been visited by Gary Rapson, the author of The Adventures of Captain Lantus. He read his book to us and told us his inspirational story of him and his son, Max. He has kindly gifted us with a copy of Captain Lantus 1 and 2 for our school library! Thank you @the_lantus
