This is one of the BEST, most important conversation Iโve had in a long time. Give this a listen, and please repost. I think a lot of folks would benefit from hearing this. ๐Follow @JoshThifault
@KyoceraMobile Any plans to cut the price on this for non-business customers or release a new model soon? I'm still rocking my Duraforce Ultra from 2021 and it seems silly to pay $900 for a 3 year old phone.
The entire nonprofit sector IS a scandal.
Seriously, look at your county's GIS map and check out the property valuations everywhere, then see which ones aren't paying property tax.
Why should a private business pay property tax while an adjacent nonprofit facility doesn't?
I've been asked about the LA wildfire donation scandal.
Here's the truth: it's standard operating procedure. In most nonprofits, only a small fraction of your donation reaches the front lines.
If this qualifies as a scandal, then the entire nonprofit sector is a scandal.
Lawmakers shouldn't treat this as an isolated case; they should treat it as a call to overhaul a broken, opaque system.
The graph below shows the 501(c)(3) grant network for the Barack Obama Foundation. But it could be almost any major nonprofit. They all look like this.

@DavidThomasOH HB 920 from 1976 doesn't even show up on the official Ohio legislature government website. They only go back to 1997. How do we expect our citizens to understand the law and pay a 20 mill floor if it can't even be found? https://t.co/nwrgyUst3C
@DavidThomasOH I'm all for keeping our schools funded, but it's unnerving seeing all these brand new schools pop up on the backs of poor districts. They have all-weather tracks, turf fields, and state of the art facilities while the residents have dilapidated homes. It's far too unbalanced.
@elonmusk Both parties need to be dissolved in tandem. Injecting a third party would only tip the scales in favor of one of the existing parties, thus perpetuating the uniparty problem.
