Haridwar, Uttarakhand: Rajiv Kumar Mittal, Director General of the National Mission for Clean Ganga, says, "On November 4, the Ganga was declared the national river, and we are celebrating this occasion for several reasons. First, to raise awareness among our youth about respecting rivers. Second, to re-establish the connection between society and rivers, which has been lost. Third, there are many people working quietly for rivers who remain unknown, and this celebration is to thank and acknowledge their efforts, encouraging them to continue their work..."
