This country is designed to make the rich richer. Companies like Humana and express scripts get big. Then they buy off politicians. You think the government doesn't know they are getting ripped off? They don't care. They pretend to care.
The only way to save retail pharmacies is to ban spread pricing at the federal level. Make it a crime. If not, CVS, mail order, and cost+ will be the only retail pharmacies left. I never hear the federal government talk about banning spread pricing 🤔.
It’s time for a pharmacy uprising against @Humana
There is no incentive to be an in-network pharmacy with them.
They underpay on Brands all of the time, and their generic reimbursements look like prices you’d find at a Sunday night garage sale.
I wasn’t happy when Clinton, Obama or Biden won, but I didn’t call them fascist/dangerous/threat to democracy. I didn’t hope someone would assassinate them. I went on with my life with gratitude. Friends on the left, please try this. Your life and our country will be better.
🚨 BIG WIN: Tennessee passed the FAIR Rx Act.
Landmark PBM reform in Tennessee is one step closer to becoming law. The Legislature passed a bill this week that bans companies from operating a pharmacy, PBM, or insurance company in the state at the same time. Congratulation to @TNPharmacists
Independent pharmacies fought for this and won!
Now it heads to @GovBillLee's desk. We can’t wait to celebrate the signing. 👀

Mark Cuban on a lack of Washington support for the Break Up Big Medicine Act: "A lot of wimps in this town."
"Until you break those companies up ... there is no chance we will improve the quality and cost of care in this country," @mcuban tells our @alexanderburns.

So i'll be the one who says it.
When is APhA (@pharmacists) going to directly address their sponsorship details/relationship with CVS Health and what 'favors' are being done for each other.
You know, the same CVS Health who owns:
CVS Pharmacy - Major complaints of working conditions, had 2 employees do bad things to themselves, etc.
Caremark - Under cost reimbursements, predatory claw-back audits, patient steering, etc.
You know, the same CVS Health that is single handedly destroying retail pharmacy and the sanity of their pharmacists.
Asking for a friend. The optics of this situationship is ironic at best. We are going to have the fox guard the henhouse next.
Patient's copay for 10 levaquin at Walmart with Humana insurance= $32
Patient's copay at my pharmacy= $3.90
But the government needs until 2028 to fix this? 🤣.
PBMs never change. @Humana removed generic Farxiga from their formulary THE day it lost exclusive manufacturer rights which resulted in a 95% price DECREASE. $350 drug yesterday=covered (with brand copay.) Same drug today $10= pt go find something else for diabetes/heart failure
🚨 BREAKING: Incredible moment as Artemis II pilot Victor Glover shares the Gospel mere MOMENTS before reaching the back side of the Moon, losing communication with Earth
"Christ said, in response to what was the greatest command, that it was to love God with all that you are." 🙏🏻
"And he also, being a great teacher, said the second is equal to it, and that is to love your neighbor as yourself."
"And so, as we prepare to go out of radio communication, we're still going to feel your love from Earth, and to all of you down there on earth and around earth, we love you from the moon." ❤️
8:50 start time on a Monday night for the Natty? Fuck the blue collar early risers and my 8 year old basketball loving kid I guess? You guys couldn’t figure out how to squeeze every dollar out of a 7pm start?
Please.
Look no further than the very insurance companies and big pharmacy benefit managers that CMS has had such a “hands off” approach towards in the past decade.
When counseling a patient on a new prescription, the first question from the patient shouldn’t be “are you losing money filling this medication for me?”
And, if you are- “would you like me to have it transferred somewhere else?”
Unfortunately, that is the stark reality running a community pharmacy these days.
Something’s gotta give.
