The engine of looting public funds in Zimbabwe under the Mnangagwa regime is the Ministry of Finance.

The ministry is purported to have given US$11.7 million to other departments, yet the Auditor General found that only US$8.4 million was accounted for.
US$3.3 million was LOOTED!

The Permanent Secretary, George Guvamatanga, is accused of asking for bribes to facilitate the release of funds to pay invoices.

The Minister of Finance, Mthuli Ncube, is a failed banker who is also a South African citizen and is building a massive mansion in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The fact that the Ministry of Finance, which is supposed to be responsible for managing public funds, is actually engaging in bribery and embezzlement is astounding.

George Guvamatanga's alleged role in demanding bribes to release public funds is not only reprehensible and indicative of systemic rot within the ministry, but it is also disgusting, especially as it is happening when Zimbabweans are dying in dilapidated hospitals.

Mthuli Ncube's involvement in these scandals, while simultaneously serving as the Minister of Finance and building a mansion in South Africa, is a blatant abuse of power. These men are corrupt, and one day they will pay a huge price for this plunder.

US$3.3 million could have built 89 maternity theatres, the biggest hospital in Zimbabwe only has ONE maternity theatre build by the colonial government in 1977.

Today I get to pay $300 to take a 3-hour English test in order to be eligible to stay in the country where I am employed to teach English language courses at an English language institution, a prerequisite for which was the PhD I earned at an English language university.

Imagine being thrown out of the flight because someone was eavesdropping on your private conversation where you were swearing at your friend.

The whole Shamiso saga x-rays why it's important for Black Africans to strive and become owners at all cost.

If not, with all our money, if we focus on being consumers only , we will continue to get such racist treatment from other races because their bosses who aren't black will always support them.

And that bring me to the second issue. I remember we once had a space with regards to the challenges Black Pilots face to become 'fully certified.' Many of them are true with their school programs but aren't being given opportunity to fly with these experience ones so that they can secure the required number of flight needed.

This is where the government should step in. So that we can have more Black South Africans in key positions like this in this industry. Imagine having a black pilot who can stand up for Shamiso and say, we ain't flying if my sister Shamiso isn't flying with me.
