This is fascinating! Narcissists (malignant)/psychopaths often have left-right facial hemisphere asymmetry.
If you put your hand over one side of their face, it looks like a subtle smile with the side of the mouth raised & the wrinkles of a smile around the eye.
If you put your hand over the other side of the face, you will see that the eye is dead, without expression, sometimes even menacing, & the mouth is flat.
It is surprisingly common in dark personalities/human predators.
This emerged from my PhD data of the largest study of fields researching people who actively violate social norms & harm & disadvantage others by conscious choice.
It is also discussed by Joe Navarro, a seasoned FBI agent & author.
Below is an image of Ted Bundy, convicted serial killer, in which left-right facial hemisphere asymmetry is evident.
The 2nd image is of Drew Peterson, convicted of killing his third wife, & which Navarro uses to highlight the asymmetry.
Left-right facial hemisphere asymmetry is noticeable in dark personalities across the board.
You don’t have to be a serial killer to have it. You could be a dark personality doctor, accountant, social media influencer, politician, teacher, advocate, entrepreneur, CEO, etc.
We all have subtle differences in the face & some people have left right facial asymmetry due to other issues such as palsy. One red flag does not a dark personality make either but if you see this phenomenon it is a huge red flag for a dangerous person.
I have observed this facial asymmetry in 100s of human predators/dark personalities.
