After recently watching the excellent Fat City courtesy of @indicatorseries I was lucky enough to come across an original poster that I had framed and now hangs proudly in my hall. Thanks Indicator for the inspiration!
@rtenews It's not surprising. We allow fox hunting and greyhound racing. The government have no appetite to tackle animal cruelty when some of its members actively support it. And don't get me started on the scum from the rough estates who keep horses as pets.
Watched “Nomads” on blu ray from @TreasFilmsUK
Had not seen this in years, it’s John McTiernan’s debut.
Really enjoyed the film. It kinda does not all hang together but it’s high on style and atmosphere and kept me gripped.
@thatbloodyMikey At least you are trying to ban it. Here in Ireland the politicians recently voted to keep fox hunting in place. So many stories of cruelty to animals come out of Ireland these days it makes me ashamed to be Irish
@martygolden@AontuIE If I wanted to reply to Aontu about the abortion vote I would have. But I asked them about fox hunting. Not sure why you feel the need to tweet me about bigger pictures?
@bazmd@AontuIE No, my tweet was about my dismay about the party's stance on animal cruelty. Abortion is an entire different issue that you tweeted back at me for some reason only you know. Aontu never tweeted why they are in favour of fox hunting. Very cowardly on their part.
@bazmd@AontuIE Ah yeah. Of course you came to that conclusion. You have no idea about my opinion on abortion as i never mentioned it. You might be surprised to hear it's closer to yours than you think. But keep throwing around the slurs if it improves your day.
@bazmd@AontuIE I wasn't comparing them. But if they support human life so much you would think their compassion extends to the animal world. Obviously not.
@rtenews In a lot of ways we really are a backwards little country. Greyhound racing, fox hunting, those prime time reports on abattoirs. Us Irish really do enjoy some animal cruelty. Shameful.
@MickOKeeffe “Traditional” you say. So ok to allow cruelty to animals so long as it’s traditional? I am laughing alright….at the spineless fools in government
@OdohertyI64991 While I love the film and have seen it numerous times and anything by Michael Mann is genius, when you say it’s by far the finest I’m not sure I agree. It may well be the finest Lector film but if it is it just about pips “Silence…”
@IrishRail this morning on an overcrowded Dart a girl almost passed out. Luckily other passengers spotted her distress and aided her. That's two weeks in a row I have been on a Dart and people became unwell. Never say your overcrowded trains are safe because they are not.
