Korean users posted racist comments about Indonesians on the Indosarang forum (2024 case)

Indosarang is an online Korean-language community used by Koreans living or working in Indonesia, or those interested in Indonesia.

Back in 2024, screenshots from the forum went viral showing racist remarks about Indonesians. Some users allegedly insulted local workers as “cheap and uncivilized” and even used terms like “native monkeys.”

There were also comments mocking Indonesians appearance, calling them the “ugliest in Southeast Asia,” making fun of skin color, and insulting Islam by calling it a “stupid religion.”

And now in 2026, we’re seeing similar racist behavior again Koreans targeting Southeast Asians, calling us “monkeys” and dragging religion into it. The pattern clearly hasn’t stopped
