The trans athlete debate is one of the biggest political distractions of our generation. The NCAA president testified that there are fewer than 10 openly transgender athletes out of 510k NCAA athletes. Yet this small issue dominates headlines.
lead tampon in me while i eat my listeria meat & cyclospora riddle veggies and wash it all down with microplastic water. afterwards, i inhale wildfire smoke and listen to the serene sounds of the data center built across the street. there’s a flock cam too recording it all

This is immaterial to my thoughts on Celine Song or her work but I think more filmmakers, actors, whoever should keep responding seriously to these glib attempts at viral bullshit

If these guys jumped out of a car and grabbed you on the street in Indianapolis or Tampa, would your first thought be that they are government officials? Would compliance be your natural reaction??
can’t help but notice how the “safety and dignity of women in sports” activist immediately started weaponizing a woman’s history of suffering abuse against her.
Imagine not having a place to shower and still trying to go to school or work looking clean and presentable. The City of LA might cut funding for The Shower of Hope’s Mobile Hygiene Unit Program, which provided over 37,000 showers last year to unhoused people, including many seniors and those with weak immune systems, especially in areas like Skid Row and Hollywood. Without these showers, people could get sick, struggle to find jobs, or face worse health risks, which isn’t fair. You can help by calling your local LA Councilmember from the list and asking them to keep funding this program. It’s a small action that can make a big difference for people who need it most!
