The HSE would be better off investigating the Children's Health Ireland(CHI) scandals and what doctors and consultants were involved there, instead of targeting a hospital that has continously provided exceptional healthcare despite being chronically underfunded in my opinion.

@thejournal_ie HSE being very harsh on the Rotunda hospital, continously targeting this hospital which has always provided great health care. HSE has repeatedly underfunded this hospital for years in favour of other hospitals.
Public consultants practice privately in plenty of other hospitals.

A rapid blood test for traumatic brain injury is now part of routine care at UPMC Presbyterian, thanks to faculty from Pitt Neurosurgery.

A small blood sample, two brain-specific biomarkers (GFAP and UCH-L1), and lab-quality results in about 15 minutes at the bedside. The test helps clinicians decide who actually needs a CT scan, reducing time in the ED, radiation exposure, and unnecessary cost.

Pitt was the central biorepository for the research that validated the test for FDA clearance through TRACK-TBI, with Drs. David Okonkwo and Ava Puccio leading the department's neurotrauma biomarker work for nearly two decades.

@PittNeurosurg Congratulations, your research in a very important area of brain health is to be admired.
I myself suffer with very severe concussions now from having repeated head impacts since I was a child(had a lot of injuries from working with horses including being kicked in the head!)

Had the pleasure of working with loads of Johannesburgs when I was in Kentucky years ago.
He himself being by Hennessey who was by Storm cat.
