Didn’t expect to be discussing Komorebi (木漏れ日) the scattered light that filters through when sunlight shines through trees, (or built-in solar PV)
Strange things happen during European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels. 🙂⚡️#EUSEW
Dublin's O'Connell Street? So much potential, but too many empty shops, cheap shop signs and casinos.
The Council and the new Dublin City taskforce headed by Robert Watt must raise the bar: https://t.co/SreMZVxlIW
The next round of EU sanctions on Russia is due to be approved on July 15. The Irish Government must conclude its investigation into Aughinish Alumina well in advance.

“Downright alarming to break 30°C in May in Ireland.”
Thanks Dr. Claire Bergin from @ICARUS_Maynooth at @MaynoothUni for your work on Climate Change, now let’s work on solutions that are affordable and available to all. https://t.co/QVwHu8JCr3
It's time to close the loophole that feeds Irish raw materials from Limerick to Russia’s military industry.
It's time for effective EU sanctions.

@richardohall57 Oh, I’m not paid to notice, and I was probably too quiet in 2014, but certainly been vocal on Russian aggression since 2022 and concerned about Aughinish Alumina’s track record since 2004 as it happens.
@Trevor00088700 I suspect it was blown up primarily to damage the Russian economy, not raise our energy prices. More interconnectors in the coming years will assist in decoupling, and of course speeding up wind delivery here.
@KitMurray Disarming Russia’s meat grinder is hardly meaningless, and I would hope that Rusal, like any company under potential threat of sanctions is actively seeking other markets.
@KitMurray I’m more concerned that we have become part of Russia’s war machine, besides there’s markets in the EU that could use Irish alumina, and keep Irish workers in their jobs.
@Trevor00088700 Indeed, I should have said smelter grade alumina produced in Ireland. On Moneypoint, would you like us to keep burning coal to keep AI vendors happy?
Big congrats to our green colleagues in Denmark on entering Government. Delighted for Pia Olsen Dyhr leader of @europeangreens member party @SFpolitik
Free public transport for young people, free dental care and lower taxes on fresh food are on the way!

Looks like El Niño is back, with more heatwaves and weather uncertainty, not what we want in a warming world. Another reason for Governments to help citizens choose clean energy and reduce costs. https://t.co/XO5yNkfT0x
Saddened to hear of the passing of Tomi Reichental, Holocaust survivor, and witness to the horrors of Belsen. Peace be upon him, עָלָיו הַשָּׁלוֹם
