@BigRedSulk I thought Koumas helped connect the frontline together well on Sunday and added some fluidity, and same here again.
I don’t think we’ll be as fluid when Isak comes back in.
@Ian1892T To be honest, I don’t give a fuck about what happens to them. I care about LFC and LFC only and today highlighted many of the issues that exist with the squad. Squad depth for a start. Red card was harsh, but we folded like a decking chair after that, and that should not happen.
@SeanySpaces Unfortunately Seany, I don’t see this group being that sort. Too many wannabe mavericks who want to “aura farm” for Instagram clips. Not enough who want to get stuck in & fight, way too nice. They are all mates off the field too.
What we could do with Robbo out there today!
@ChrisHewittLFC But it’s not fair and square after that because the success from cheating allowed for continued success after that period, They massively benefited from and still are now from the success in that period.
@L4fckop You still need to sell a project with a manager spear heading it. Offering top wages alone is how you end up like modern day Chelsea and United.
@BigRedSulk@BackseatsmanLFC Bringing in some big shot from outside is risky and it’s how you fall of a cliff, look at clubs where’s it happened. You need people who are familiar with the club & the way it operates, especially coming off a period of success.
Even Hughes to an extent is an example of that.
@L4fckop Because 1. It’s Real Madrid. Barney the dinosaur could be manager and many would still sign.
2. We’ve no idea what Chelsea offer, the wages, the overall package, today’s generation are not turning that down. Plus, Chelsea are hardly a blueprint for successful recruitment.
@L4fckop Clubs works years ahead, so the idea Slot was ever going to he offered a new contract is nonsense.
If they backed him so much, why was he only given 3 years to begin with & then not offered an immediate extension after winning the league? Klopp was offered 6 years, 9 months in.
@L4fckop Managers are different.
When it comes to trying to sign players, when do you say when they ask what the situation with the manager is beyond the next year? “Oh sorry, we don’t know/haven’t decided yet”?
@L4fckop If he was kept on he’d have needed to have when offered a new contract too as you couldn’t have him go into his last year, set to walk the following June. So the only sensible option was to part wise. Unfortunate for him but that’s the game.
@L4fckop The drivel he started to come out with in pressers was telling that he hadn’t a clue how to turn things around. Couple that with the fall out with players. In no world would it have been a good idea to keep him on.
