Racism does not and will never have a place in society let alone on a football pitch.

Appalled and disgusted at the events of yesterday, some individuals determined to keep the game in the dark ages.

CLUB STATEMENT

As a whole club we are appalled by the racist abuse directed at one of our players during yesterday’s match. We stand with our player and will offer him our full support.

Racism has no place in football or in our community. Responsibility for this incident lies with the individual involved. We do not hold their club responsible for that individual’s actions.

We have reported the incident to the relevant authorities and cooperate fully with any investigation.
We ask that our player’s privacy is respected while the matter is addressed.

⚫️CLUB ANNOUCEMENT⚪️
We are aware the Season is not complete however as a Club we are excited to annouce that Ian Matthews and Graham Shergold will continue as 1st Team managers for the 2026/27 Season
They have worked tirelessly since the journey began back in May when they arrived at club we had one player across Senior side of the club and no U18’s
They have built squads adding over 50 players to club and yes it’s been a rollercoaster with all the injuries we have had 16 out at one stage but they have continued there work to a high standard and they have built a great atmosphere around club win lose or draw
That’s why we are so pleased they are staying at the nest to continue to build the club back as they say Rome was not built in a day however we believe in them and their team to get the Magpies back ⚪️⚫️💪🏻
Also Zac Massey and Ciaran Kane will also continue the journey with the lads also watch this space for few additions to the Team

Club Update ⚪⚫️

After 3 minutes played yesterday before an injury to Mason. He is now home from the hospital and recovering.

The care given by our physio @ciarankane1 whilst Mase had to lay on the pitch for 1.5hrs waiting for the ambulance was superb. Grace, @afcwalcountians physio also assisted the whole time along with Barry Cox one of the matchday officials. Our sincere thanks to both of them as well.

An avoidable situation though, Mase being on the ground in the rain for so long. The stretcher available wasn’t a backboard, it made us think how many are. Our own at Loxwood isn’t for example. Something we’ll look to now change.

Sobering moment bringing player welfare back to the fore.

Our thanks to everyone @afcwalcountians and @Cobham_FC who helped Mase and we look to welcome him back to the game he loves when he has recovered 🤍🖤

[Mark Lacey @lace2711]

I would like to thank everyone that helped and supported Mason yesterday especially @ciarankane1 and Grace from @afcwalcountians who where excellent in such a worrying and difficult situation 🖤
