@RacingSharp Going to go VERY left-field & say Galopin Des Champs at 100/1 for the Supreme. Question marks over where - could step up, or whether he’ll actually go but ran well behind Appreciate It at the weekend so it wouldn’t surprise me if he turns up as a 3rd or 4th string. Could place 👀
We are very sad to report that multiple Group 1 winner and exceptional broodmare Immortal Verse has passed away at the age of 18.

Almanzor deserves a mention in the conversation for best since Frankel. What a season he had as a three-year-old, swooping to success in arguably the best/deepest race I’ve ever seen before going to with the Champion Stakes. Quality!
A trip down memory lane✨
In 2016 we saw the Jean-Claude Rouget trained ALMANZOR take the Irish Champion Stakes with Christophe Soumillon in the saddle 🏇
This renewal of the Irish Champions Stakes was voted the highest rated turf race in the World 🌎

One of the most enjoyable races you could watch!
Two top horses in Gstaad and Opera Ballo fight it out and a generational talent runs them down late on… Cinema.
And @loughnane_billy’s passion lifts it even further, some lad!

🥇 Accurate corners into the box (15)

@dave2482 I don’t know, you could be right but I think from an international perspective we’re getting laughed at for lack of incentive. And it’s good for the product overall if horses are encouraged to stay in training, whether Coolmore and Godolphin play their part is up to them.
Brilliant!
I would love for there to be a bonus incentive introduced for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes whereby any Derby winner from the previous year is eligible.
Keep them in training and showcase some speed over a shorter distance in what could become THE race at Royal Ascot.
Next year's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes is set for another major prize-money boost and will be run for a British record £2.5 million 💰
The increase represents an extra 25 per cent on this year's total and means the contest's value will be double that of 2024 📈
@dave2482 AR as a stallion prospect is much better for it though. Too many below average Derby winners in recent years ending up as NH stallions or nothing. Too many horses retired after their Classic season. Investing in the best version of the product can be but isn’t always a bad thing.
🚨🗣️New: Lionel Messi on why he started crying after receiving the silver medal despite the World Cup final defeat to Spain:
“I wasn’t just thinking about losing a final. I was thinking about everything that brought me here… every sacrifice, every difficult moment, every time people doubted us, and every time this shirt gave me the strength to continue.
“When I heard the Argentina fans chanting my name after the defeat, that was the moment that broke me. We had just lost the biggest game, but they didn’t turn their backs on us. They didn’t see a silver medal… they saw the journey. They saw the heart, the fight, and the pride we gave them.
“I looked into the stands and I saw families who travelled thousands of miles, people who dreamed with us, people who cried with us. That love is bigger than any trophy. Football gives you many victories, but moments like that remind you why you play.
“I cried because I felt the weight of the shirt, the love of my country, and the responsibility of wearing this badge. A medal can be silver, but the memories, the connection with the people, and the pride of representing Argentina… those things are priceless.
“Sometimes football gives you the perfect ending, and sometimes it gives you a painful chapter. But I learned that greatness is not only measured by lifting trophies. It is also measured by how you stand when your heart is broken.
“And hearing Argentina sing my name after losing a World Cup final… that was a victory of another kind. I will carry that moment with me forever.”
