@hamen@GooglePlay@GooglePlayBiz Not sure if it's entirely their fault or the EU Digital Market (or Services) Act. Same thing is happening on the App Store Connect.
I didn't dig deep enough to get an answer.
@hamen@GooglePlay Although, if I'm not mistaken, you can't transfer your apps if you don't verify your account first 😅, so there will be a short period of time while your contacts will be public.
Closer to 15 years after native mobile apps have gone mainstream, interesting how building these apps is still unexpectedly challenging - for those used to backend or web apps. And how there's a never-ending push to try to turn native apps into web apps. A few challenges:
We've published "Why GraphQL" - an internal slide deck used at Yelp to promote the usage of GraphQL among our engineering teams. Screenshot is one of my favourite wins.
Check it out!

The part about being a parent that no one talks about being as hard as it is, is just consistently showing up. Even if you’re tired. Even if you’d rather not to.
It’s way more challenging than people give it credit for but is so important.
We just started a new initiative in Gradle Build Tool around developer-first software definition, or Declarative Gradle for short. We believe it will make both software developers and build engineers using Gradle happier.

Two different dev teams:
Team A: a group of senior and above engineers go away and make important architecture decisions that the rest of the team will then follow.
Team B: all engineers are invited to discuss architecture suggestions/directions before they are put in place.
Like it or not there’s also almost always always a “native mobile” glass ceiling at most organisations.
If you look at the most senior engineers, they are frequently backend folks even at mobile-first companies. Same with the background of the large % of sr eng leadership.
Compose team just published new API guidelines for @Composable UI components.
Those are API patterns and behaviour best practices that we found useful and scalable in compose APIs, but they can be useful for any library or application component as well.

Also, is nice to have some simple rules summarized somewhere. All plugin developers should take this other article as their bible:

A very inspiring and super helpful story from Square about their effort in making their Gradle builds efficient.
The good thing is that we are in the right direction in my company!
