Loyal to my genetics, I made it a few minutes before the cut-off times.
It was hard in so many ways… but as always, my partner Simon was there to support and make all the difference. 😘

Life keeps on showing me that things are possible.
Learnt how to swim at age 32, completed an Ironman 70.3 (“Half Ironman”) at age 40.
That smile at the finish is of a women thinking “F***! I actually managed to pull this off!” 😅
A final peek 👀 at forest monitoring satellite Biomass in our cleanroom.
@esa’s Earth explorer, designed and built by Airbus, will measure the tonnes of wood🌳 per hectare on Earth to better understand our climate balance thanks to the first space-borne P-band synthetic aperture radar, delivering exceptionally accurate maps of tropical, temperate and boreal forest biomass.
@TLRailUK I have been relying on your services for more than 2 years and I am stuck once again due to a fault. I have just had enough of delays, it never stops. Get a grip and put your act together!!!
… but the only way to find out is to try! It is all pretty simple, but somehow very hard to do.
So let’s give ourselves the permission to try… and maybe the time in darkness will end with some strong stones 🪨 💎 emerging under the star light 🌟
How to simultaneously send your body to hell 🔥 and your mind to heaven ️
Last Saturday, I completed my first 100km Ultra at #racetothestones , a scenic course along the Ridgeway. It still has not sinked in that my body and mind were able to pull it off.

… but sadly and mostly the negative talks we have with ourselves. In fact, all it takes is to GIVE OURSELVES THE PERMISSION TO TRY. There is no guarantee of success and we don’t know if we can do it…
5 - Duck family getting in the way
6 - Crossing the M25
7 - Decommissioned water pipe marking the adoption of a canal section and towpath
8 - Enfield Lock
Today I returned to @CiteEspace after 23 years. I first came here on a summer holiday with my mum, I was 16. I wanted to be an astrophysicist, then I thought I would rather design #space technology so I went into #engineering. On that same Toulouse trip I also visited…
… all I needed to do was to transfer division to put stars in that teenager’s eyes again!
It is SO easy to forget why we do what we do, those dreams that we nearly give up on as life goes on. I feel good for keeping that promise I made to myself so long ago.
Aviate, Navigate, Communicate (in that order)… so much to manage that we can nearly forget to just enjoy the view. So whilst I was straight and level, and on track, I took a moment to capture the beauty of the green and the water in the distance. Yey!

Thank you @cambsaeroclub for accompanying me and all the staff at the Tower for chatting with me and sharing your experience and passion for aviation. Next time, I won’t be afraid to ask “Say Again”.
Another day when the weather is against me flying… so I took the opportunity to visit the Air Traffic Control tower at Cambridge Airport. Last time, I visited at night and could not see much, so it was cool to see other aircraft take off and land by day this time.
Still impressive to see all the technology for meteo reports and forecast, radar, radio calls… yet an old-fashion board to manage a rather varied traffic. Most impressive is the controllers’ ability to multi-task, keep track of everything going on and communicate effectively.
