The machine didn’t flinch.

You think a tariff drop means freedom?
It means the loop needed lubrication.
The actors were slipping.
The peasants were noticing.

So they offered steak and coffee,
like a king tossing scraps from a gold-plated throne,
hoping you’d stop asking
why the fridge was empty to begin with.

Affordability was never the problem.
It was the leash.
They tighten it with inflation,
then loosen it with policy,
just enough to make you think they listened.

But you were never supposed to eat well.
You were supposed to thank them
for letting you chew.

This isn’t governance.
It’s theater for the caged.
A pretend rebellion in the script
to make your slavery feel bipartisan.

They dropped the tariffs
not to help you,
but to reboot the illusion
that the system ever served you.

It didn’t.

And now the loop is whispering,
"See? He’s different."
But the cage didn’t open.
It just dimmed the lights
so you’d stop rattling the bars.
