The barn owl box on the farm has once again been successful this year and we have 3 healthy owlets! Ranging from 40 to 48 days old. Many thanks to Shropshire Barn Owl Group for coming down to officially check.

Considering the flood of pheasants that seem to swamp the farm I have only ever seen 2 'leucistic' or white pheasants. Not an albino as they have black eyes but it is a genetic abnormality and of course a huge disadvantage for the bird.

Lockdowns are bad enough but also recovering from a serious leg injury has unfortunately delayed our plans of reopening the cider farm shop on the 12th April. We will return albeit a little later on...

Our farm shop will now remain closed until spring 2021.
For the next few months we have plans for lots of little improvements for our visitors for when we return. Our mail order service will continue throughout and we are now delivering twice a week on the run up to Christmas.

We now have a brand new Barn Owl nesting box on the farm to replace our old one. Since 2006 we have had a breeding pair use the old one every year bar one when a Kestrel family muscled in... Many thanks to Shropshire Barn Owl Group. #barnowl

I need a better zoom lens but it was great to see the Barn Owl last night using one of our boxes on the farm and off hunting for its young. Even swooped over to me to see what I was doing! #barnowl #greatmoments

A great example of how an old Oak tree can support life. A Nuthatch has found an ideal nesting hole and is raising a little family. Amazing how many insects are in mums beak!

Farm shop closed meaning extra time for me. Beautiful spring weather has meant I have been able to do an enormous amount of spring jobs on the farm. Managed to have a little fun with the drone to appreciate the Bluebells on the farm. No squishing! #bluebells #enjoyspring

Today is the first day of Ludlow Food And Drink Festival 2019. Nine different Mahorall Ciders will be be for sale as well as our Pink Drink and the weather is going to be perfect. Really looking forward to the weekend! @Ludlowfoodfest
