@kemjacks Black history is not solely reserved for Black people. In order to implement the changes we seek, everyone is responsible for deciding to address U.S. history for what it truly is. Success is not often cultivated within the constructs of comfort.

@kemjacks Though I’m not entirely familiar with Selma’s history, Black history in the U.S. carries a theme of suppression. Progression of the Black community was denied for some time with regards to voting rights, gentrification, and segregation simply to name a few.
