Free agent forward Kobe Sanders has agreed to a four-year, $11.2 million deal to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN. A second round pick in 2025, Sanders averaged 7.3 points and 19.9 minutes over 68 games as a rookie.
Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors has been agreed to, sources tell ESPN. The Clippers will receive unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, 2030 and 2033 second-round picks and a 2027 first-round swap.
I’ve been a Clippers fan long before Kawhi joined the team. I based my account around him because he was my favorite player in the league on my favorite team. Now that he’s no longer a Clipper, I think it might be time for a rebrand.

BREAKING: The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing deal sending Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, 2 first-round picks, 1 pick swap and 2 second-rounders, sources tell ESPN. A return to Canada for the Raptors champion and two-time Finals MVP.
League sources told @ClutchPoints that negotiations between the Clippers and Raptors involving Kawhi Leonard are ongoing.
The framework of Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and a 1st-round pick going to LA is said to be agreed upon, but the Clippers have still been pushing for more value.
Sources say the Clippers have been trying to add Jamal Shead in the package as well. LA views him as extra value needed for taking Gradey Dick in the deal.
Draft compensation is the other hold up in negotiations right now. Raptors are wanting to give up an immediate first (2027/2028) instead of one in the future. Clippers have wanted two firsts, one being in the future, especially if Shead is not included.
Whether it's an additional first, a swap, the inclusion of Shead, or some combination of this, the Clippers are still pushing for more than what was originally offered to finalize a trade involving Kawhi Leonard returning to Toronto.
Lawrence Frank and Steve Ballmer would only trade Kawhi Leonard if they were blown away with an offer that involves multiple first-round picks and a young, emerging talent, per @BrettSiegelNBA and @TomerAzarly.
Toronto’s offer was described as “one-sided.”
