1/3 Detective Chief Inspector Mark Newey was out and about yesterday with the Isle of Man Constabulary Roads Policing Unit for his last shift as a Police Officer. Mark has spent many years with this brilliant team as a Senior Investigating Officer but now we get to use all that
The Baton of Hope! The biggest suicide awareness and prevention initiative.
A very powerful presentation this morning, thank you to all who shared.
Let the HOPE begin.....
STATEMENT: RAUL TORRAS MARTINEZ
It is with great sadness that the Isle of Man TT Races can confirm the loss of Raul Torras Martinez following an incident on the final of lap of today's Supertwin Race.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Raul’s family, loved ones, and friends.
I did lots of licence premises visits in Douglas today. It’s already busy out and licensed staff are prepared and hoping for a flourishing trade over TT while doing their part in keeping people safe. Know your limits in the pubs as well as the road.

It was a real pleasure to be invited to join the St Barbara's Day Service this morning at St Thomas's Church. Where together we remembered and celebrated, The Royal Artillery Regimenatal Day. Thank you.
A beautiful service for a lovely man, a legend of Luton CID @bedspolice my first DS and a great Detective who guided so many through our careers.
Lovely to see so many ‘old’ faces and bring back good memories.
RIP George and thank you 🕵🏻🏴 xx
WhatsApp scams are continuing to circulate on Island.
If you see a message purporting to be from a loved one, ignore it, block the number, and if you're unsure, contact the person on a known number/channel.
I am so pleased and proud to have worked with these incredible colleagues. I only wish I had had this sort of book when I first started policing. We really hope it will be useful for front line officers, researchers and anyone working to prevent domestic abuse
Had an amazing two days training some of the Isle of Man’s finest and most empathetic officers how to effectively mentor young people of the island with the aims of providing them with a safe space to explore positive choices and work towards personal goals
Today marks 5 years since the Finsbury Park terror attack.
We remember Makram Ali, who was killed in the attack, and our thoughts are with those who were injured and affected by this horrific act.

Policing is amazing with no two days the same, and the TT is no exception; feeling the pain for those who have lost loved ones, to celebrating the successes with those standing on the podium.
It feels very surreal as life/ work moves on but my sense of pride is here to stay 😊.
